Police release sex attacker details

POLICE say they want to speak to three men seen fishing in Hood Manor who may have vital information about a 15-year-old sexually assaulted earlier this month.

They say the three may have spoken to a man accused of attacking the girl as she stood with friends on Friday, May 2.

They were seen talking a man police suspect was involved between 6.30pm and 7.30pm at the White Gate pond.

PC Christine McCullough, investigating, said: "This is a worrying assault and we would appeal to the three men to come foward.

"They are not accused of being involved but we would like to speak to them as they may have vital information that could help us to trace the suspect."

The attacker assaulted the girl after speaking to the men.

He is described as black, aged around 42, 5ft 8ins, of medium build with short, dark, stubbly haird.

He also had some facial hair and dark eyes but with yellow around the whites.

He was wearing black leather jacket, blue jeans and trainers.

Police also want to speak to anyone who may recognise the description.
