Johnson out for the rest of the season
 |
| Paul Johnson |
PAUL Johnson will miss the rest of the season after it was confirmed today that he will need a full cruciate knee ligament reconstruction.
Johnson was injured during the second half of Warrington's 40-34 cup defeat at St Helens on Saturday.
He is the second player Wolves have lost for the rest of the campaign from the cup defeat.
Stuart Reardon will take no further part in this campaign after rupturing his Achilles' tendon in the sixth minute at Knowsley Road.
That was the same injury collected by another full back, Chris Bridge, at Knowsley Road in February to rule his season over.

Gutted for him and Reardon. I think Johnson had one of his best games for the club on Saturday. Starting to look a little thread bare in the backs now. Just hope Riley's injury isn't too serious.

I think we have had more serious injuries than any other team this season. How long will it be before PC starts using it as an excuse. Can we bring anyone else in on a loan deal?.

it goes from bad to worse with injuries, but we've got 5 players out for the season if you include paul wood
i don't know if its just me but is it not a coinsidence that johnson, reardon and bridge all have similar injuries ?
our team's still capable this year and i wish all the players a speedy recovery

We need urgently to get rid of are waste of space players, bridge, riley
,bracek etc...,and we need some players on loan if we can,has anyone noticed that the injuries this year are all muscle problems last year they were contact injuries witch you expect with the nature of rugby league, the trainers must not be doing there job or the players are not stretching as they should because this should not be happening. Please not another year of under achievement for all are sakes. We are all with you wire but please something has got to be done................

The injury problems I think stem from when we lost Forshaw. When he was at Wire both injuries were a minimum and defensively we were sound that season if my memory serves me right..I agree with Simon something needs to be done as we seem to get far to many injuries every season and potentially long term ones at that - Johnson, Bridge, Reardon, Poss Wood, who next???

I've got lots of time for all of them as players, but it just seems that their bodies aren't up to the stress of playing Super League. You simply can't afford to have one-fifth of your first team squad being hardly ever on the field.
